Shadow Poem by Robert Sheridan

Shadow

The light we once had has
now turned into the darkest
shade of gray - has painted
a picture that would envy
Dorian Gray...

I no longer know whether
i'm coming or going, God
please help me - this is
scaring the hell outta me,
i feel like I'm drowning...

Our love has now taken
sanctuary in the shadow
of pagan church - stays
there even on the darkest
of days...

Your supposed caring for
me now taunts me like a
Banshee - it wails not to
warn of the suffering that
now faces me...

The hurt is so deep that
it now appears under my
skin - you masterminded
this whole bloody thing oh
so well...

I must now undertake the
daunting task of plastering
a warning to all would be
lovers: 'Love and Hate Are
Shadows of One Another.'

This seems much better, as I can now focus on the exucute much better... It is a nice piece of work filled with much bitter/emotions due to love that has turned sour... Very nicely done... Bonnie

This is very good, may I make a suggestion? The opening stanza, and the following verse, are really captivating, however somehow the length seems to take the beauty away from the beginning of the poem.... Very good none the less.... Only a suggestion, I welcome all, as I am sure you do... Regrards Bonnie
