Severely Depressed Poem by Fernando Alvarez

Severely Depressed

Rating: 5.0

They've hidden the pills
I've sworn not to cut
How could I have been so stupid
So naive
I am a child
I can't control my thoughts
I can't control my feelings
I can not silence
These voices screaming in my head
I am an infant
Why do I subject myself to this
Give in to all of my inane ideas
Grope for things that are not there
Imagine things that can not be
I am the embryo
I'm falling back into a cycle
An unwanted cycle that will conquer my every movement
That will force me to quit
Make me form into nothing
I've strangled myself my umbilical cord.
Use the very fuel meant to give me life, to take my life.....
Only fitting...
