Severed Love Poem by Andrew Bauer

Severed Love

i wish i could fall asleep,
and the world would slip away.
i wouldn't wake up,
and there'd be no next day.
life's not worth living,
if you can't live with those you love.
because I stand here alone,
like a single white dove.
i met you, and thought two souls we joined forever,
who knew such a love could be severed.
I want you so bad, I need you next to me,
But everyone's saying how could that be.
So i lie here every night and pray,
Please lord send me away.
