September
Its the middle of September
I still play out in the rain
as the world glides by
and my end is here again
In the middle of September
'you' and 'I' were just two words
that will make me wonder forever
was it worth it in the end
Its the middle of September
I am still walking on the moon
Its hard to keep myself grounded
since you left me to my doom
In the middle of September
you wrote a letter so very fine
that spoke lies and untruths
they now talk of stranger times
Its the middle of September
and my mind wanders far and wide
trying to gain its consciousness
trying to loose its pain with the tide
In the middle of September
the sun rose high above
It took me in its arms
and I am no more
