Existence Poem by cassiel kaini

Existence

the moon rises on the horizon of a multiple of lives
as those lives unfold, a hundred others come by
bearing messages of centuries and laughing along my memories

this little yard, which wecall our kingdom
turns green and white on the command of conscience
yours, mine and He who has power divine

a lily floating in water, your gift for your absence
absence that is felt dearly at all times of the day
absence that is my solitude, my companion, my love

the forests, the courtyards, the cathedrals
loose their charm when i behold the kindness
kindness which marks those eyes of yours

i relate my tales to you in animated detail
your face depicts amusement on humankind
however, i still find you infinitely human

no matter what you say of existence
i know enough to believe my fantasies
that existence is underrated, so are its inmates
