Separating Lives Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Separating Lives

Rating: 5.0

Hearts breaking in two, because life is so unfair,
separating our lives through the miles, no fault
of our own.

Missing one another's presence through the years,
because once long ago we thought we couldn't make
our love last.

Arguing off and on, turning romance into a sparring
fight without any way to resolve what we felt, going
our separate ways, yet our hearts never left us.

Still missing one another in this human life here on
this temporary earth, romance, passion and desire
not being expressed.
