Sentinel Poem by Greg Edwards

Sentinel

Sentinel, watching over me
Seeing all and never pleased
I get the feeling that i have done wrong
But that is not different, I've been doing it all along
When you know good from bad
And can't decide, you go mad
Maybe a hand to lift you up,
And not a fist that interrupts,
Might be wise, and recommended
But at this point, has reason ended
You curse my name, seeking evil to prove
When you've done worse, should be removed
You curse my evils, when you do worse
I steal a dollar, you steal the purse
Why must i listen, to the hate that you spout,
Why must i be the one, who's life is in doubt?
By lock and steel, am i condemned
By hand and blade, my life you end
