Joy Poem by Greg Edwards

Joy

Rating: 5.0

Joy, in this world
Is like a boy, and a girl
face-to-face, with a chance at fate
just one word, and its a date
Ones a prep, the others a goth
equal opposites in a world that rots,
They realize the difference in their clothes,
Are expected to keep 'em apart, and it shows,
The hesitant girl, likes the forward boy,
The shy young man, has only one joy,
Utter opposites, or so some assume,
But within their souls, love has bloomed
No power on earth, could hold them apart,
For love from Heaven, rides in their hearts.
