Self Revelation/Disclosure Poem by Ray Hansell

Self Revelation/Disclosure

Each other we were satisfying
But, were we really trying
Or just falsifying
Knowing our love was dying

Myself I was applying
To the rules I was complying
So, why is it so terrifying
To be in a love undying?

I needed a shopping cart
To carry my broken heart
It's been torn apart
By one I thought, was my sweetheart

I was awestruck
With my bad luck
My life sucked
I was a schmuck

She was a flirt
In her short skirt
I was not alert
Now, I'm the one that's hurt
