Self Maintenance Poem by Ray Hansell

Self Maintenance

Rating: 5.0

Perhaps you are alone
Sitting in your home
The future unknown
Is your future your own?

Do you sit and worry?
Does your life get blurry?
When you see people hurry
Do you feel the need to scurry?

Is your life lived on a limb?
Do you sing a daily hymn?
Do you do things on a whim?
Do you look at life as grim?

Or are you the kind
Who will let life go and unwind?
Just clean out your mind
Leave the day far behind

Lyn, thank you for your nice words. Writing is always the best remedy for me. A great escape.

Leaving the day behind is certainly the best way. Writing is a wonderful remedy too.
