Seeing Red Poem by Erik Christiansen

Seeing Red

The whole experience glows red
in the room the curtains
the fire in the place
the chair
a few pillows
in the auburn hair
framing her pretty face
in her lips
her blushing cheeks
as I flatter her with pleasantries and admirations
Red flatters me with her presence
her red stubborn and courage
red passion and pride and wealth
I see red not in anger
for valentines hearts are red
for Red I love
