See That Person? Poem by Randy McClave

See That Person?

See that person wearing a smile
Which seemingly stretches on for over a mile,
Love and peace and salvation he is always preachin'
He truly is a devout Christian.
He doesn't care of the color of your skin
And he doesn't care where you have walked or been,
If you ever need help he is always there
And for you unknowingly he is always saying a prayer.
He doesn't care that you are a sinner
He will still invite you to the churches dinner,
And he doesn't hate and he won't lie or hold a grudge
And he will never use you, or judge.

See that other person other their smiling
He is both misleading and beguiling,
Prejudices and racism and bigotry he is teachin'
He indeed is not a Christian.
He will judge you by your race and your belief
And he loves to inflict terror and pain and grief,
And if you need help he will be at your side
But, only If you are standing against someone's belief or pride.
He doesn't care if you are a sinner
If you are like him, he believes that you are a winner,
And he always begrudges
He hates and uses and lies and he always accuses and judges.

See that man sitting high in the heavens on his throne
Both persons unto him are already known,
He rejoices at the one that walks in his path
And he is saddened by the one who believes in sin and murder and wrath.
He knows that one is a Christian and one is not
One sought and found salvation which the other had never sought,
One hates the poor and the needy and the immigrants
He despises all different than him with a evil bitterness.
He doesn't care if you were once a sinner
Now that you're a saved Christian you are now indeed a winner,
That man will not ever be begrudging
Now only him (God) will be doing the judging.
