See, See, Calculate, How Many Hours Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

See, See, Calculate, How Many Hours

See, see, calculate, how many hours
As we humans calculate – are there
In a span all round of a whole one year:
You will find rough and approximate
About a eight thousand of them:
Now
On the first day already twenty four
By now
Already almost nine have passed:
See, how Time slips away?
And Time is Motion; Motion therefore
Slips so away: that is the syllogism.
