See Me As Human
See Me As Human
See me, I'm human brushed and coated with melanin
See me, I'm human beyond the beautiful shades of my skin
See me,I am human, feel the warmth in my heart and beneath my skin
See me, I am human and the creator is my kin
See me, I a human, I too hurt when you step on my toes
See me, I am human I need the air I breathe in whether through my mouth, trachea, larynx or nose
See me I'm human my basic needs include food, clothing and shelter
See me as human, I need good healthcare and education just like clean air and water
See me, I'mhuman my heart beats red with blood
See me as human and human needs love
See me, I'mhuman having the gift of life with each breath I take in
See me,as human if I can't breathe then the coroners will be called in
See me as human, I too have a right to be heard
See me, I'm human, so why do you think it absurd?
See me as human and just like the colours of the rainbow
See me as human and like the rainbow ifwe allow anyone to take a colour away the rainbow would be a shadow
See me as human and remember just like the rainbow
If we allowed people to remove any colour including Violet, Indigo, Green, Orange, Blue, Yellow or Red
The rainbow would end up dead
So, see me as human; stop all forms of discrimination
Today it may be about skin colour
Tomorrow it may be about the size of your penis, vagina, eyes or any other human cell, tissue or organ

We as humans are all One God's children. It's high time that we all started playing together with love and laughter. That would make God laugh, instead of, cry. Excellent poem.
