Secret Poem by Miranda DeNooyer

Secret

Lost and confused without knowing what to do
Hiding so much, wish I could just tell you;
But I'm afraid you'll judge and not understand
Why I ever would, and let go of my hand;
But in a time like this, that's the last thing I need
Is to be left alone, like a lonely little seed;
One that cannot grow, because it is too deep
In the hole it dug, lost all it wanted to keep;
So this is why I hide what I truly am
Why I give up, like a helpless little lamb;
So I still wish to tell you but I know I can't
I'm sorry, its better as an un-grown plant;
Because I know if i tell you, I know you wont
Want to be with me, I do turns into I don't.
