Seclusion Poem by Joshua Burgos

Seclusion

Lock my self away in
the dark corridors of seclusion
To escape this devious
world of delusion
Tired of everyone making
such pusillanimous decisions
Remaining to be errors on a
page that needs revisions

Unspoken thoughts that
crave grandiloquence
Makes me really wonder
about my own significance
Remaining quiet has left my
water of life evaporated
Can no longer keep my head up high for
in this world I've been decapitated

In the secluded world of
the dark corridor
It has the power to change you
to a vegetarian from a crazed carnivore
Making things more clear
making you more open minded
Granting vision to those
who have once been blinded

This place is located
in your own mind
Not making paradise to
hard to find
Where you can drink the
roman god's beverage of nectar
Yet the only bad thing is I still
can't make you become a specter
For when I am alone in
this dark and secluded place
I close my eyes and still
manage to see your face......
