Seasaltstingsopenwounds Poem by Nenia Haven

Seasaltstingsopenwounds

Rating: 5.0

hollow tinged with a frown of grey
feeling still exists but is dazed
and
hopeless
wandering. searching blank empty skies.
wishing there were clouds to conjure up faces.
if i could only feel the sand between my toes
wade through the tide and be embraced by
the waves
to a deep blue oblivion
my eyes are green
i could be a mermaid
but i have no fins
i need no explanations
no need to take or to give
just to be
be
peace
just be
i’ll come back to you as softened sea glass
you can keep me in your shirt pocket
right next to your heart
where i always wanted to be
