Scream, The New Year In... Poem by Gary Dobbs Morgan

Scream, The New Year In...

Scream
the New Year in,
let out,
the old one,
invite the new one with vehemance,
throw the old one into the bins
of past hope and learned lessons

Lessons provide stepping stones
across the pond
that don't let you fall
if you are watching your step
dreams are yesterday
what do you want today?

Make today prime
make wakefulness and healthiness
the cornerstones
find the answers
find the questions
keep a log
express loss
figure out keys to enlightenment
take the keys and study them
for they hold the way

Scream the New Year in
let the world know you are present
let the people in your life know you are ready
let the gremlins know you acknowledge them
hold your self and present yourself to you.
