You look at me
With your yearning eyes
I put on a mask
You see past my disguise

I hold my hand out
Your fingers brush against mine
I must get you
I still have time

I try harder
Your eyes stay on me
I will rescue you
I will set you free

Stretch your hand out, my dear
Come into the safety of my arms
I will shelter you
And keep you away from harm

I have your hand
Hold on tight
We’ll make it through
This dark, scary night

We made it
You’ll be okay
