Save The People Of Aleppo, (Humanity And United Nations Wake Up To It Before It Is Too Late) !

As bombs keep dropping, terror keeps raging,
empty houses in wrath and wreckage
families keep perishing, time so invincible
deaths so sudden from sudden bombs falling.
O those men full of vengeance and hostility
lost of compassion and mercy
how they unleash the might of hatred;
lost is serenity, lost is divinity
as in the action of saving one's own life
the innocent in fires of hell get engulfed
while on this earth they walk
not expecting to die in the next moments;
how can such war open its doors
where innocents have to sacrifice their lives
as a price for existing there
as they were born to live and not in a war to die,
had they ever dream't of that?
No truce, no end as they succumb to injuries and mortality,
from roads, to hunger as they keep fleeing,
turning homeless wanting to survive and live another day;
in their escape from torture, some get shot,
some stay back and into the clutches
of helplessness as death surrounds them
as none a helping hand extends
to stop the massacre, the cruelty so intent!
And as they keep fleeing, eyes keep watching
lips keep praying, feet keep running to safety;
though to die is easier than to live
as destruction and death keeps mounting;
unborn is tomorrow's generation
many tales of woes, they will hear as they grow
their hearts will wake in the emptiness of love
when they hear of what had been
as man can have an enemy or two
or perhaps a dozen more to fight,
but when bombs keep falling
endlessly, constantly for years
like fiery balls of fire
how many enemies can one count
when families die in thousands
and those that survive those blasts
sit not knowing who is next to succumb and when;
O today keep hurting so intensively
as mothers cry for lost sons
as fathers cry for the lost limbs;
as sisters cry for rapes they underwent;
as brothers cry when will they see their homes again;
as wives cry for breadwinners they lose at war
and as children cry out due to sheer feelings of fear.
Yes, many neighbours into enemies turn
many foes as friends return
but how many enemies can innocent people fight
when sudden and unexpected come those bombs
and toss them in a lava of fire blasts
which silences them even before they can
call out to God to accept their souls in heaven
for an end they just did not prepare or deserve.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A plea to United Nations - please stop the mass killings in Aleppo. If we were they and they were us, would they overlook the torture, the sufferings we would undergo under such pitiful circumstances. Grief and dis-belief fills my heart and mind. How can this go on?
