Sailing Away Poem by Stephen Pennell

Sailing Away

Sailing Away

My tears created a stream of sorrow all the way to my heart.
It was a wild ride on rapids, fraught with pain.
Launched with harsh words and even harsher thoughts.
Spoken by you to cause waves of hurt and pain.
A tsunami of bile, washed over me and swept away my feelings.
And now I have sailed away.
Your words, your actions just dark clouds on a backwards glance at the horizon.
