I stood by a statue, alone on a beach
A picture was taken for a keep sake
That picture was used as a profile update
It was seen my a woman who wanted to meet

When the dark clouds, Bring the shadows to your day
Think of me

When the sun fails to shine and the rain falls
...

X

X means I love you, lots and lots.
X marks the spot,
...

An Ocean filled with children's tears
who's crashing waves muffles the cry s of a desperate mother
looking for salvation just beyond the seas horizon
...

Did your god cry for their loss my friend
Does your holy book preach peace or hate
Will you dry the tears of the lost loved ones
The blood on your hands colour's your soul my friend
...

She’s a petal on a frosted flower
A ray of winter sunshine
A twinkle in her parent’s eye, A missed beat of their hearts
A smile machine in the making , the apple of your eye
...

With her eyes of brown and her Farah Fawcett hair
And that smile, that is contagious
A heart of gold, and a gentle touch
She's my fairy tale princess
...

You give of your soul, your being everything that matters
Time, Thoughts, your waking hours , you learn her favourites
What she likes, you spent your time checking her treats out
Plans are made to please and make her smile

The Wish

I dance in the smoke, to a song that I wrote
I watch you pirouette like a girl on a box

The grass shimmers in the afternoon sun.

The gentle breeze blowing a thousand seed heads, Like tiny cobwebs across the sea of sky blue blue bells.

Your promises fall to the ground like autumn leaves.
They are like the drops in an ocean, Or the stars in the sky.

Im an old fashioned man, that says live and let live.
Im sure when I die the pearly gates will allow me to fit in.

It was a wild ride on rapids, fraught with pain.

In January England is a barren canvas cold to the touch
Febuary brings blankets of snow and ice and skeleton trees on the horizons
March begins the race to paint this fertile land of fable, green
April brings nature's palette alight with daffodils and bluebells

Fill my freezer and pay my way

The Best Poem Of Stephen Pennell

Mistake

I stood by a statue, alone on a beach
A picture was taken for a keep sake
That picture was used as a profile update
It was seen my a woman who wanted to meet
If I knew then the hurt it would later create
I would have deleted that picture and saved me the hate
As such a self centered woman you would not like to meet.
