Sadness Poem by Nalini Jyotsana Chaturvedi

Sadness

Rating: 5.0

Thick smog
Dark blanket
Of sorts
Smothering
Sadness
I stop
To respond
Still not dead

I fight
Same battle
Every day
Little time left
For
Fun and play

Sunlight brings
Some nascent hope
By Moon time
Still find
Just no repose

Seems
My Sun is now
Swallowed
By eternal
Eclipse.

I close
My eyes
Not used to
any other
Light source

One is overwhelmed by the atmosphere of sadness created by the poem from beginning to the end. Following lines are just outstanding: Seems / My Sun is now / Swallowed / By eternal / Eclipse.
