Sadly Looking In Poem by Randy McClave

Sadly Looking In

I still shed a tear for you
Even after what you had put me through,
No longer do I hold hatred or a grudge
Not even a smudge.
I forgave you for all that you did
To those memories farewell I did bid,
I have also erased and forgiven all your lies
Those tears you will never see in my eyes.
The many lies that you had told
One day they most certainly will all unfold,
And the truth will finally come out
That's a certainty and not a doubt.
You have lost all that you once had
Including your honor and pride and your word which is sad,
You just threw it all away
Now sadly that price you must pay.
When I wake up to another tomorrow
I won't awaken with hate, but only with sorrow,
As through my window I will be looking out again
Somewhere, you'll be sadly looking in.
