Saddest Poem Poem by Imafidon Mac Henry

Saddest Poem

Rating: 5.0

Tonight, I could write the saddest poem
Write about the pain that I feel for loving you
Write about the love that was true
Write about my love turned blue.

Tonight, I could write a sad poem
About how you told me you'll be there for me
About how you told me our love would be as strong as death,
But when I thirsted for you,
For that love you promised,
You weren't there
To quench my thirst,
I searched endlessly for a glimpse of you,
But, you weren't there
My nose couldn't smell the sweet fragrance of
Your lavender perfumed body,
You only left me heartbroken for loving you.

My eyes searched to see the beauty in your charming eyes,
But you weren't there...
My ears couldn't hear the whisper from your sonorous voice
I'm lost without you like a river running into an unknown sea
And my arms are empty
Cos you aren't here with me,
My tears flow and wouldn't stop.

Tonight, I could write the saddest poem,
Write about my heart
Fighting raw pain,
Pain for falling for you
For I can't fall for another
My feeble heart has been broken to splinters
So many promises,
You showered
Still, you walked away
The sky is blue with a thousand stars
But I choose nobody but you,
The nights are scary and lonely without you here in my arms,
Days are empty when our eyes don't meet.

Tonight, I could write the saddest poem
Write about my love turned blue
Write about a heart that was true
Write about the pains I now feel for loving you.

Promised love is nice. Separation or breaking love is saddest...10
