Rush We Do To Do Stupid Stuff Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Rush We Do To Do Stupid Stuff

A time that comes,
To feel a deep pain...
Coming to regain,
One's consciousness...
With sense to make awakening.
From being kept distanced.
Brought to bring,
That kite to fly too high...
Back down to Earth.
Done to open up one's eyes.
Wider than ever before.
Realizing the Sun, Moon and Stars,
Will always be where they are.

However...
Getting one's life together.
To prioritize truth to accept it.
Has much more of a lasting meaning.
With feet planted firmly on the ground.
Done to look around.
Appreciating to value first,
The blessing of life God has bestowed.
Acknowledging to be grateful.
Every hour of each day given the ability,
To express to God a thankfulness...
So many of us take for granted.
Allowing greed and petty selfishness,
Take control over all the stupid 'Stuff'...
We rush to do without a thought to think!
