Rubayee (plural Rubaayiyaat)a Farsee poem-from. In 1859 Edward Fitz Gerald introduced rubayee craft to the English world.
Strictly speaking farsee rubaayee meters are not at all suitable for English language. Invariably rubaayees must be written in prescribed meters (Bahars) . When this form was not written in rubaayee meter that should be called QAT'A.
Here are my Qat'a s. Find them.
1
River continually flows and flows
Because it flows, its utility grows
In spite of knowing this truth
To live like a river no one knows
2
Presence is to be felt
Details have to be dealt
Let us find our lives
Much before we melt.
3
What should I do for your sake?
My attitude is not at all a fake
With you, unfailingly I must jell
Tell me, on me, what is your take?
