Rowboat Poem by Rosetta -

Rowboat

I figured we wouldn't make it this far.
Paddling along a river in the storm is a chore and a bore, so I think we'll let go here.
But it was nice to talk to you, and you were nice company;
Thanks for keeping me busy.

I liked to watch the waterfalls fall upon the flowers.
It brings me joy inside, and I used to think my joy meant yours as well.
Isn't it funny how we can look down and to the side, but never straight forward?
I don't know, because I've spent my whole life looking at the sky.

You said it's too hard to paddle on the rowboat, and that we best get off here.
The problem is that we're nowhere near land, so I guess you've just jumped off the boat.
I'm still stuck here, because I don't want to drown in an abyss of loneliness;
Although I'm sure there'll be plenty of fish in the sea for you.

I'll paddle my way safely to shore,
Trying to leave you behind in my head.
I know I'll see you again in this jungle,
But it'll hurt to glance at a tiger.

Thanks for paddling with me.
