Romance Is Ageless Poem by Paul Hartal

Don’t consign romance only to the young!
Love is for all. It is ageless and eternal.
The flame in the candle of desire burns
till the end of the wick, the fire of ardour
can last till the endmost breath. Keep alive
your passions till your last heart beat.

As you grow older
you accumulate more experience.
You become wiser and more mature.
Looking back at your life you find
that your feelings have changed, that they
have developed into deeper brooks
and higher thrusts of awareness.

And you also find that in spite of aging,
life is still full of wonder. It continues to be
intoxicating, immersed sometimes
in elated and spiritual moments,
mixed with silky, velvety emotions.

Don’t relegate romance only to the young!
Life is about love and it is for all. It is ageless
and eternal. We come to this world to love
and to be loved.
