Rolling Tides Poem by Nicole Anne Sia

Rolling Tides

Rating: 4.0

We sat together on the sand,
Overlooking the sunset’s view.
And then you slowly took my hand,
Walked on the shore like we used to.

The night fell fast and cast its dark,
The waves rose high and stole our love.
Your life it took with a moon’s spark,
You’ve gone away, my other half.

Sorrow filled with wrath and anger,
Cursed Poseidon, I was bereft.
This unending pain still linger,
Alone in the world, I was left.

The days pass by, I still await,
Got nothing, not even your ghost.
Your comeback, I anticipate,
But tides rolled on this empty coast.

Struck by bitter reality,
I must accept that you’re now gone.
Heaven’s your new home now, baby,
What’s done has already been done.

The rolling tides still haunt my soul,
Vivid as the waves hit on sand.
Memories so hard to control,
Now, without you, alone I stand…
