If we can't be honest with ourselves, how could we ever to be expected to be honest with anyone else. If a lie doesn't bother you then it shall be repeated over and over again. The true narcissist lies to himself first and believes it. So he all the better at it when it comes to telling you. Great Poem Eric, Being honest is always important choice. No matter how it's seen.
