Revisit Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Revisit

Revisit

Felt was then
-took chances
-went, sat there
- (where we met)
-exact same location…

In mirror found the age
-reflecting dust and dirt
-in a hill of garbage…

Heard tune of grace
-in soft side of hardness,
-powdery, time given.

Visible were changes
-on wrinkles of the face.

Beauty turned ugly
-implicit, broken,
-no trace of kindness.

Focused on the grey;
-no more was a mountain,
-had shrunk (humongous,)
-vanished its brightness!

Thought, thought, thought
-sobbed the sigh of silence.

Wobbled words in the heart:
- "Go away and hate her."

Spring woke the birds;
-ran away the winter.

Of the poor white snow
- (its virgin pureness,)
-no track had been left.

The ruler, in place
-was the pile of darkness!
