Restore Poem by Grace NeCamp

Restore

It's inevitable that you will experience a broken heart.
That moment where your heart shatters into a million pieces,
and it feels impossible to put it back together.
Too many pieces to find,
too many to restore.
A pain so deep you can feel it in the core of your bones.

How can something that isn't physical cut so deep?

Miraculous you are restored.
Time is the bandaid that holds the pieces together again.
Confidence conceals the scar from being exposed.
Age and wisdom help manage the pain.

Maybe it is possible to survive this?
