Resolutions Poem by Emily Rosey

Resolutions

1. Welcoming 2010, the biggest night of the year,
Getting drunk and losing all of your fears.
You even got persuaded to dress as a clown,
Who wouldn’t enjoy a good old night on the town.
But you wake up in the harbour smelling strongly of fish,
A bowtie round your head, and feeling slightly less rich.
Another year gone by full of the same old you
It’s time to be different; it’s the year that’ll come true.
You are going to be better, may even get fit
Start reading more books and create a quick wit,
But not right now as you are going to bed
When the world has stopped spinning and you can rest your poor head!
