Remembering The Family Tree - Haibun Poem by Brendon Kent

Remembering The Family Tree - Haibun

#
yet
still
in father's old shoe
boxes, family footsteps
each memory
some now fading into dust
yet still under mother's bed

grey clouds-
sunlight shining through
his smile

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a haibun but if you take the '# yet still' away it is a tanka and a haiku!

It is a shame the words have to start to the left of the page as this one is in the shape of a tree! You will just have to imagine it! ; -)
