Remember A Time Poem by Mark Hopwood

Remember A Time

I remember a time when we kept each other alive
This was long ago before you killed me
I remember the times the sunrises were ours
Now all i have is the solitude of the stars.
You lied to me, you lier
You told me it was made for us
You lier, you lied to me
You told me time was ours to see.

I remember a time when we held each other together
This was long ago before you ripped me apart
I remember the promises, the lies, the good and the bad
Now all i have is the memories that i once had.
You lied to me, you lier
You told me it was destined to be
You lier, you lied to me
You locked my mind then swallowed the key.

I remember
I remember the lies
You lied to me then you patronised
I remember the one time you told the truth
Just before you shot you me in the head
And I dropped dead.
