Refused Poem by Makayla Paine

Refused

Rating: 5.0

I watched him trail his way down the road,
He looked scared and alone,
He seemed hungry and abused,
As if he was refused,
From someone to love him and someone to care,
I watched with curiosity about his past,
As his tail sagged between his two back legs while he had his head down,
I wondered if it was from shame or from sadness,
Seeing as I have never seen something so sad,
He looked so ruffed up with his fur all matted,
He has a single brown spot on his eye but the rest of him was white,
Well it was white but from all the mud it was grey now,
So I stopped the car and opened the door,
He turned his little head my way and lifted his tail and came running up to me,
I guess Ill never know his past but I know his future will be with me
