Reflections Of The Sun Poem by Rogers Joseph Brown

Reflections Of The Sun

I found myself wandering lost in the night
a slave to the moon and her silver blue light
reflections of shadows danced in the trees
as the scent of lilacs swam through the breeze
off in the distance on the edge of the sky
an explosion of color took hold of my eyes
orange became red and red became blue
for to witness these wonders was all i could do
entranced by the sun and the warmth of its rays
my eyes became locked in a hypnotic gaze
as the sun danced on the waves and painted the skies
all of its beauty was forever trapped in my eyes
and as the sun set and the day passed into night
no darkness could blind me or dim my souls light
