(the book you were reading, afterward,
I ask if I may keep that book, a poem for Marie in the USA)
You were like a mother to me
you made me mature and you set me free
This is not a poem
but dear words to congratulate thee
Today you shall be celebrating
your Birthday is on the 8 of the 8
The book Redemption is kept on my bookshelf carefully
you paid The Netherlands a visit and brought this with you
I asked you whether I may keep that book
I still cherish that book in my nook
