Times of tears
Careless deeds
Of yester years
Laughing boasts
And secret fears
Lately come to mind

Shattered dreams
And broken luck
Killer jaws
Of garbage trucks
Wild emotions
Gone amuck
memories unwind

Blissful summer
Days gone by
Echos of
A firstborn's cry
Joy behind
A tear filled eye
So much more to see

Toiling in
The summer sun
Lover's arms
When day is done
Mellow times
And childhood fun
All a part of me
