Recapturing Childhood Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Recapturing Childhood

Lights on, music, action, and timely rhythms coming
and going on carousels of innocence and childhood
that we adults are always trying to recapture again.

Traveling the world, seeing different nationalities,
cultures, all doing much the same, hoping and wishing
to recapture what they once were as children.

Invigorating the energy of their inner child, wanting
to resurrect them today, enjoying the innocence of back
then and bringing them into today's daily moments.
