Rebels Poem by djemoi talbi

Rebels

They wanted it; they were too unfair
A siege of hunger and anger;
Legal slavery… so no one can declare
They’ve got the power to change it
But they didn’t bather to care

Inevitable reaction for a long time of exploitation and despair
A bit of mess on earth sometimes could clear the air
For a better life, for the delicate and modest flower; if it could dare
Freedom feeds on blood, now and then …here or there

It needs braveness; if it was about strength, an exhausted fish
Wouldn’t stand a chance against a hungry bear
You need to think of others if you want to succeed in the political affair
It’s not about power; or hunger; it’s about the injustice
Which, keeps spreading everywhere
