Reaching Poem by Brian Ely

Reaching

Reaching out through the darkness
I hear you call my name
A bright, white smile
Soothing all the shame
Yes my darling
We are quite the same

Reaching out through the darkness
Yearning for your touch
A bright, white smile
Lucky to recieve so much

Reaching out with no blame
Each to bear one's own name
So many years been so lame
Then i hear you call my name
A bright, white smile
And quite the same
A bright white smile
Seeing and soothing all the shame
