Rapture, A Serious Rising Poem by Reason A. Poteet

Rapture, A Serious Rising

cento/pensee

hearts pound
autocratic
a conjunction of our hearts
to a place where no one comes back
a body now grown tired

escape
omnipotent
winds of change start it shining
we will find a new horizon
transcendence is calling

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A cento uses (random) lines chosen from another poet to create a collage of a new poem.
I used lines from five poems written by Sirius Rising (Richard Autry) a poet at All-Poetry to write two pensee. Each pensee uses lines the same five poems in the same order. Richard Autry is a member of Poem Hunter but has not posted much of his work.
