Rainbow Poem by Rhonda Baker

Rainbow

Stretched out high
Across a clear blue sky
Some simple colors form a band
They just hang there, never touch the land
They don’t just capture the eye
Your heart sees it and will sigh
They’re said to be a promise, from a time long ago
They trigger a memory deep in the soul
They never seem to last very long
Their image will replay in your mine like a favorite song
