Question Marks Poem by cp Aboobacker

Question Marks

Poems rise from alphabets burnt
Every alphabet will in poetry
Shall be a question mark of fire

Epics rise from the poems burnt
They will write a new Mahabharata
Each canto will be the noise of the oppressed,
And the flames burning in their eyes.
In love and dreams shall be the question marks of fire

Books of liberation rise from the pages burnt
They will create new classics
Hugo Tolstoy and Gorky will shake their heads in agreement
Howard Faust clad in a red towel shall cuddle them
Whitman will array his soldiers
James Joyce will count his moments with Ulysses
Marquez will walk along with his gypsy characters
In ultimate freedom to life and death
And Satchidanandan will stand in full blossom
On the tree of tongues
And full of each book will be the question marks of fire.

Libraries rise from the books burnt
Ideas will prevail in all libraries
The starvelings will array in unison for books
In the libraries
Men burnt in soul and body
Shall wait in dreams and hopes
And in the shelves of the libraries
shall be the question marks of fire.
