Queen Of The Night Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Queen Of The Night

Broken hearted
By the jagged edges
Of reality
As waves of emotions
Crash through
The trust
That beat her mercifully
By those with bad intentions
Taking everything and leaving

An angel suffers
Mind distraught
As I look on helpless
Feeling everything
Wishing, praying
There could be something
To fight away the pain

These tears they fall
Like waterfalls of the past
Flowing down to a river
Flooding land locked disillusion
Over flowing with regret

I knew her
Before every inch of pain
She endured
Wondering why
Does the worst happen
To those
Who love the most?

All she wanted was peace
Now the past wars of her life
Play out in residuals
Emotional pain
Cycles of Insanity
And there is nothing
I could ever do
To make it all better

Feeling helpless
Wish her Mind
Would find Solace
For much better days ahead

I yearn for her heart's freedom
To be able to trust again

She is the lover of midnight
The twilight queen of beauty

May She finally set her own heart free

To those Who hurt her
They will forever be my enemy

Why does the dirty
Have to destroy
What was once clean?

My heart sings out
Tired of seeing
Those who love
Be punished
By the tyranny
Of actors
Pretending to be
The source for better dreams

I cannot look away
Must always be by her side
Somehow

But what can I do?
As these waterfalls
Finally create an ocean
Drowning these hopes
Into a sea of disarray

Still, I hope for the best
As hopeless
As everything may seem

I may be nothing desired
But at least I have beautiful dreams

Love, exist
One way or another

We deserve something
Beyond the darkness
That creates paranoia
Beyond the nightmares
Where all hope fades away
In the shallow depths
of all faith vicariously depleted

May the light shine
Us through
To the most beautiful
Woven dreams imaginable
Beyond the confines
Of all false reality

Why does pain find
Those who love the most?

Save her
From herself

Please
I beg
I plead

She deserves so much better

Release her
From the destruction
Of herself

Help her dream again

Please
I beg
I plead

Take this heart
May it take all the pain away

No worries
If I have to take it all in

My love
Just Promise me
Salvation pumping strong
In each of
those gold laden
Ever loving
Sky raising
heartbeats

Beauty, go on
Stronger than ever before

You belong dancing
Under the stars

My beauty
The Queen of the night

Find peace
Set your mind free

Smile wide
May your existence shine
Down and all around
As your beautiful face
Keeps on beaming

My love
Promise me
That you will never
Stop dreaming

The sky is yours
Set yourself free

The night it belongs to you
