Queen Esther Saves Her People
Esther, the queen,
Was a Jewess,
Though the king did not know it.
The wicked Haman
Promised the king much money
If he would order the killing
Of all Jews on a certain day.
Esther, the queen,
Was determined
To save her people.
Bravely she went to the king
To ask their pardon.
He loved her and granted
Her wish.
