Purr Away Poem by Juan Olivarez

Purr Away

Rating: 5.0

Purr away little tabby cat,
Snuggled in my lap.
Stretch and yawn, turn on your back,
Arise from your cat nap.

Digging claws into my skin,
Slowly arch your spine.
A tiny demon lurks within,
With fiery eyes of yellow wine.

Love it Juan, cats get my vote everytime, although they do have the demon in them sometimes.

Not a cat lover myself (though I'd never hurt one) , too fond of little birds - you make a good point here, the devil within, and not just cats! ! Another great write Juan.
