Purpose Poem by J.Lakie Kollie,Jr.

Purpose

Why did God make man?
Why did He form man?
Why did man take the stand?
was there not a purpose or plan?

There's surely a purpose, I surpose
Or else He won't in man so repose
His image and likeness as it is
When all the God-heads that are His
Agreed in all to the plan dispose.

Where are all God's attributes?
Are they all in disrepute?
As men do try to distribute
All that God did contribute?

There was a purpose
I surpose
Not in the WHAT that man is
But in the WHY He made us His.

For every time a thing is made
The one who made it has a WHY
That that thing was surely made
Even if it was a blade
There must somehow still be a WHY
That's the purpose for which He made
A thing as simple as a blade

If man God made has a why
That is the purpose for things He made
Why can't man see He's made
By God for a purpose

The purpose of man he will fulfill
If all he does is in God's will
If you are black or white or tall
Or you are big or medium or small
The MASTER made you for a PURPOSE

Find your purpose and there remain
For God Himself had in mind
That your purpose you can find
For He made you for a PURPOSE!
